Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mingze Zhang is a member of the Communist Party of China and serves as a master’s supervisor. He is also the Party Branch Secretary of the Institute of Power System and Its Automation at Harbin University of Science and Technology. He graduated from Dalian University of Technology in 2024 with a major in Power System and Its Automation, and his PhD supervisor is Professor Weidong Li. His main research interest is frequency security analysis and operation control for new power systems, with a particular focus on theoretical issues related to power system dispatch and power security value assessment considering frequency security and frequency spatial-temporal distribution. His research achievements won the First Prize of Liaoning Electric Power Science and Technology Progress Award (in 2024).

As the project leader, He is researching the project for Heilongjiang Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the project from the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province, the Postdoctoral Research Initiation Project of Heilongjiang Province, the foundation of Shanxi Key Laboratory of Integrated Energy System, the Postdoctoral Joint Training Research Project, the State Grid Corporation of China Science and Technology Project, and the project for Private Enterprise. As the sub-topic leader, He is researching the project for National Key Research and Development Program of Heilongjiang Province. As the project executive director, He has participated the joint fund key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the general project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 10+ projects of State Grid Corporation of China. He has published 40 papers. His ORCID is 0000-0001-5201-1674.

In addition, he serves as the editorial board member for journals in Journal of Energy Science and Technology,Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering, Automation, EcoEnergy, Clean Energy Science and Technology, Journal of Electrochemistry, Energy Lab, Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University (in Chinese), Electrical Measurement & Instrumentation (in Chinese), Battery Bimonthly (in Chinese), and Electric Age(in Chinese); as the Managing Guest Editor in Energy Reports; as the Guest Editor in Sustainability; as the young advisor of the Journal Information and Control; and he is an invited reviewer for some journals such as Energy, International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems, Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, and Electric Power Systems Research. He is also a sub-committees chairman for 10+ international conferences in the field of electrical engineering.
